Dr Arthur C. “Art” Scott (Colonel [Ret], US Army) is a 1983 graduate of the Medical College of Georgia School of Dentistry and served over 34 years in the US Army Dental Corps before retiring from active duty in 2017. He is dual board-certified in the specialty of Comprehensive Dentistry by the Federal Services Board of General Dentistry and the American Board of General Dentistry. He holds Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry and was awarded Fellowship in both the International College of Dentists and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. Art has served on integral national committees in both the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association. Nearly 25 years of his Army Dentistry career were served in critical command and staff assignments including. Art currently volunteers as a Board Member on the Association of Army Dentistry and formerly served as Executive Director for the Association. He initially served on the San Antonio Christian Dental Clinic Board of Directors from 2005-2008 and was privileged to provide the initial design for the current Clinic site located at Haven for Hope. Art returned to the Clinic Board of Directors after retirement and currently serves as President of the Board of Directors.

Center San Antoni and Wilford Hall Medical Center with both a Master of Science Degree and

Certificate. He was the supervisor of the Air Force Periodontal Therapist Course for three years

and taught in an Advanced Education in Dentistry Program (AEGD) for five years. He has been

board-certified in his specialty for over twenty-five years. He is dental co-chair for the advisory

council of the San Antonio chapter of Christian Medical and Dental Associations and chair of the Peer Review Committee for San Antonio District Dental Society.

Gloria has overall strategic and operational responsibility for San  Antonio Christian Dental Clinic’s programs, staff, operations, facilities,  and fundraising to consistently achieve SA Christian Dental Clinic’s  mission, goals, and financial objectives. 

Gino directs, plans, coordinates, and provides dental care to support  the efforts of all SACDC professional staff, volunteers, and partners.  Collaborates with professional and healthcare agencies and  organizations throughout the community. Leads the direct patient care  program. Works closely with the RDA Training Program Director to  facilitate hands-on student training.

Vanessa directs the daily clinic floor operations, supporting the efforts of all Clinic staff, volunteers, and partners, including patient flow,  radiology, clinical safety requirements, equipment inspections, and assuring adequate levels of dental supplies. She also maintains all clinical  volunteer provider information in the practice management database  and is the go-to staff member for communicating and scheduling your  volunteer hours/days.

Jonathan, is responsible for overseeing and optimizing our day-to-day  operations. Jonathan helps manage the operational department. He  achieves this by ensuring all business processes including benefit  programs and human resources and financial management activites  run smoothly to achieve the clinic’s mission.

Valerie is a former Haven client and a graduate of our training program who  supervises and directs the Clinic’s daily patient intake/discharge procedures and  patient intake/discharge volunteers in partnership with the Clinic Floor supervisor. In 2024, Valerie added volunteer recruitment and CPR Training to her  responsibilities. 

Yvonne, a graduate of our training program, supervises the Clinic’s daily  patient data coordination procedures, ensures dental assistants’ coding  is accurate and manages volunteer and treatment records. Yvonne  develops and produces production reports related to funder requests  and clinical production needs.

Dr. West works three days a week to provide dental care for the  Clinic’s patients. In the absence of the Dental Services Director, he  works with the Clinic Floor Director to resolve client treatment issues. 

Diane graduated from our onsite training program and provides chairside dental assistance to assigned volunteers, partners, and staff  dentists. Records and maintains log books, including PPE, sterilizer, MSDS, and related responsibilities. 

Estella graduated from our onsite training program and provides  chairside dental assistance to assigned volunteers, partners, and staff  dentists. Records and maintains log books on PPE, sterilizer, MSDS, and related responsibilities.

Seleste is a graduate of our onsite training program and provides  chairside dental assistance to assigned volunteers, partners, and staff  dentists.  

Tristan graduated from our onsite training program and provides  chairside dental assistance to assigned volunteers, partners, and staff  dentists.
